A full day of exploring Brogdale and discovering fantastic bugs & mini beasts. Book your Live Bug Show time and spend the whole day exploring the orchards, discovering bugs and have lots of fun.

Meet the giant insects, join in the activities and crafts, explore the orchards and go on a bug hunt! All in one fun packed day.

Half Term Meet the owls Evening

Have a hoot and Meet the Owls on 27 May 2018.

See the owls swoop and fly in the Apple Barn before getting up close to the owls and their handlers.

Meet the Barn Owls, Tawny Owls, Asian Brown Wood Owls, European Eagle Owls, Spectacled Owls & African Eagle Owls.

With Brogdale’s Annual Pass – All Events* each half term you can discover and learn about a new subject, from the weather to pollinators and fruit harvest for all for FREE!

Discover Pollinators, butterfly’s and more this half term at Brogdale.
Meet the butterflies as they hatch with our live butterfly house. The caterpillars have been growing at Brogdale, turning into chrysalises and getting ready to hatch out as beautiful painted lady butterflies. Come meet the butterflies and learn all about the transformation process and how the butterflies pollinate our flowers, the butterflies will be released throughout the week!

Make your own paper butterfly to take home with the butterfly origami crafts or colouring fun!

Have a go at the pollination games and learn all about how important pollination is, what insects help pollinate plants and flowers and how they do it. Make your own little bee puppet or mini bee with the fun crafts.

Make your own mini bug hotel to take home and put in your win garden to help encourage insect visitors!

Explore the orchards with the children’s orchard trail discovery book and map, find all the facts and answer all the questions.
