Successful funding has helped make the orchards accessible to everyone

Your support has helped us improve access to the orchards. Brogdale Collections aims to help all members of the public access and learn about the National Fruit Collection.

The charity has worked hard on its recent fundraising activities, as well as this year launching accessible weekly guided tractor trailer tours of the orchards (May –September) Brogdale Collections has been able to acquire 2 specialist off road wheelchairs for visitors to use.

These new wheelchairs are perfect to access the National Fruit Collection orchards. With rugged tires, comfortable seating and easy steering that will enable all of Brogdale’s visitors young and old to enjoy their visit. Visitors can join one of the 3 times a day guided orchard tours with one of the expert knowledgeable guides or a self guided exploring sessions in the orchards as well as the busy festival days.

The all-terrain Mountain Trike wheelchairs will allow all of Brogdale’s visitors to enjoy and explore the orchards to their fullest all year round.

Brogdale Collections would like to thanks all those who supported and helped achieve this funding goal enable us to open up the orchards of the National Fruit Collection to all visitors.
