August sees the return of the Brogdale Cider Festival!
The Brogdale Cider Festival is approaching fast, with only three weeks to go until the much-loved annual event, showcasing the best ciders Kent has to offer.
With over 50 different ciders to try from producers all over Kent, you are completely spoilt for choice- from traditional dry and sweet ciders made from Kentish apples, to the more unusual tastes – think salted caramel blends, or fruity fusions featuring lemon and raspberry. Last year’s winners of the cider trail, Kent Cider Company, will be returning with their award winning range – the cider trail champion Yowler among them.
Not only does Brogdale Cider Festival feature a stunning variety of ciders – the line up of live music is pretty impressive too. With headline performances by Rudy Warman and the Heavy Weather, Big Orange Head, Hullabaloo and more – you can spend your time enjoying a wide variety of different sounds.
The Brogdale Cider Festival isn’t all about the drinking and dancing though – we have plenty to do for our younger festival goers – kids crafts will be held all day, as well as our giant bouncy assault course. Welly wanging is great fun, and afterwards you can show off your festival vibes by visiting whizz bang face painting. Animal corner is ready for you to come and meet our piggy friends, and cheer them on in the much loved pig racing.
To top your day off at the cider festival why not join onto one of our National Fruit Collection tours? Either by foot or on the back of our farmyard tractor trailer, learn all about the fascinating history of the National Fruit Collection, and find out why it is such an important part of British horticulture.
