We had an amazing 2022 for Kent school trips here at Brogdale Collections and loved welcoming all the different classes. We hope to see you again this year for more fun hands-on learning!

Great value day out to remember, that meets your curriculum needs!

We provide fun, fruit-filled Kent school trips,  where children can visit and learn about our orchards, special collections of fruits, and the vital interaction of wildlife within the fruit farming process.

New Fruit Growing Season!

Now is a great time to book your Kent school trips for 2023…

Will it be for the blossom, wildlife, weather, cherries, or apples?

What time of year is best for Kent school trip?

March is the perfect time to visit the orchard for the arrival of spring. Your children will love exploring the orchards for all the living things in their natural habitats, as well as identifying plants and witnessing seasonal change.

April and May are wonderful times to visit the orchards. Bring your children in to marvel at the
beauty of the blossom-covered trees. They can learn all about what vital roles pollinating insects and weather play in ensuring a great fruit harvest for the year.

June will see the start of
the new season of fruit growing at Brogdale. This is a great time to learn about how the wildlife in the orchard interacts with the fruit trees and about the fruit farming process.

Late June to July is the cherry season. The children will love picking and trying cherries straight from
the trees. Why not try our cooking module and make a cherry-based dish to take home (max. 30 children).

The Autumn term will see us back to our wonderful apple season again. With hundreds of different
varieties to try and, of course, nothing can beat turning those juicy apples into apple juice using traditional juicing methods.

If you can’t visit us, then we can come to you! Our outreach program runs throughout the year. We can visit your school to talk to the children about how we grow our fruit and the importance of pollinators (especially bees), weather, and wildlife in this process. In June/July we can bring cherries in for the children to try and in the Autumn term, we can bring in the juicers so that your children can have a go at traditional apple juice making.

– DATES ARE LIMITED SO BOOK EARLY –

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our wonderful orchards.
