World Music Garden – Outdoor Music Workshop

Place: Brogdale Collections World Music Garden

Dates: 3rd August 2023

Time: 10am – 12pm

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable

Only suitable for children over 8 years

Please note: The instruments & drums are very loud. If your child requires ear defenders then this session may not be suitable.

Kids Outdoor Music Workshops; come and play at the National Fruit Collection in our beautiful orchards with local community samba band Samba Pelo Mar.

You’ll learn a piece of percussion-based music using the samba instruments and incorporating Brogdale’s own instruments in the World Music Garden. We’ll be playing surdo bass drums, snares and repiniques, tamborims, bells and shakers from Brazil along with Brogdale’s World Music Garden tubular gongs, bat phones and log drums from Africa, South America and Asia.

Dance along to the final performance at the end of the workshop – the perfect finale!

(No previous experience needed and all instruments provided.)

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times

Please be aware that Dogs are not permitted in the orchards at any time.

Brogdale has a fruit tree nursery, farm shop, and café on site. (All closed on Mondays)
