About the instructor:
Michael White, the founder of Rural Courses, was born and raised in the country and loved it so much that he stayed to build a self-sufficient life for himself and his family. The skills and techniques he teaches are those he uses daily to sustain his way of life and his knowledge and enthusiasm for the subjects ensure an inspirational and informative day. For over ten years, Michael has run courses and workshops introducing hundreds of adults and children to a host of country activities. He has always had a particular passion for foraging and wild food and is a well-known writer and lecturer on the subject. To prove that it is possible to live off the land, in 2009 Michael walked more than 300 miles from St. David’s, Wales to his home in Kent living exclusively on wild foraged foods.
What People Say…
‘Michael was exceptional – friendly, engaging, informative, and extremely knowledgeable. He had a great connection with the group, answered any questions clearly, and had a passion for his subject that was easily conveyed to those who had some knowledge and none (most of us). Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyed, thank you
